Nottingham’s Victoria Centre has announced details of the services that will remain available to people in the city between 5 November and 2 December, in line with the latest government guidance.
At the weekend, the Prime Minister announced a month-long lockdown in England that includes the closure of non-essential retail stores. Shops are still able to offer a click and collect service for customers, while food outlets can operate on a takeaway only basis.
From Thursday 5 November, the following services will be available at Victoria Centre (list correct as of midday Wednesday 4 November and may be subject to change):
· Holland & Barrett
· One Below
· Post Office & WH Smith
· Victoria Market (selected stalls)
· Vision Express
· Costa Coffee
· Krispy Kreme
· Millie’s Cookies
· Monga Chicken
· Mr Frites
· Clean Cut Kitchen
Click and collect service
· GAME (collection service on 10 & 19 November only to coincide with new console launches)
· John Lewis & Partners (on foot click & collect outside their store entrance on the lower mall as well as a drive-in collection service via dedicated bays in the Red Zone Car Park, accessible via Glasshouse Street)
· The Perfume Shop
· The Entertainer
Also, CEX will be operating a drop off service with allocated time slots.
Nigel Wheatley, centre director at Victoria Centre, said: “Since the announcement on Saturday, we’ve been working hard to support our retailers as they make plans for the new lockdown period. As was the case back in the spring, we’re doing everything possible to ensure that people in the city still have access to essential services, as well as the opportunity to click and collect items and buy food to take away, in line with the guidance set out by the government.
“As this is a fast-moving situation, some plans may be subject to change, and we urge everyone to check individual retailer websites and social media channels before leaving home.
“Our Victoria Centre team, will be continuing to ensure that the centre is a safe and clean place for those who visit us during this time and we ask that people still follow the guidance regarding social distancing and the wearing of face coverings, as well as using our hand sanitising stations regularly.
“Like everyone else in the country, it’s important that we do our bit now so we can return to some degree of normality in the run up to Christmas. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Victoria Centre fully in December.”
Other changes at Victoria Centre from Thursday 5 November – Wednesday 2 December include:
