Robin Hood Marathon is up & running with 40th Anniversary Medal Reveal

Life begins at 40 for Goldline Events, the organiser of September’s Robin Hood Marathon Events weekend.

The race team has revealed the special 40th anniversary race medal. Will you be wearing your race bling with pride in just over six weeks’ time?

Lace up at Victoria Embankment on Sunday 26th September with thousands of fellow runners and take on Nottingham’s much loved, closed road half marathon. Whether you’re taking part for the first time, running for your chosen charity or hunting down a new Personal Best, this is a finishers’ medal to be proud of as Nottingham lights up once more with the return of its favourite race weekend.

And new for 2021, the Robin Hood Half Marathon Club Challenge in partnership with Up & Running. Could your running club be crowned Challenge Champions? Every runner who enters their affiliated club on their race profile will automatically be entered into the Club Challenge. Whether a club has 10 or 100 runners, there’s a chance for all to climb that leaderboard with the chance of being crowned Champion.

From fastest team of 4, available for both male and female, most improved runner (club nominated) and not to leave out the non-runners, a special prize for a club’s inspiring volunteer (club nominated), will you rally your club mates with a long list of prizes up for grabs? Free half marathon entries are ready and waiting, along with an exclusive Club Challenge t-shirt and goody bag, an official race village point and on-route cheer point for your running club at the 2022 race.

Judith Manson, race organiser says, “We want to celebrate and give thanks to the wonderful clubs keeping the running community alive across Nottingham. To all the organisers, run leaders and club members who support our event year in year out, we are just so inspired by your passion and commitment to your running.”

There’s a choice of three entries for September’s race weekend – the Half Marathon, the Mini marathon in partnership with Ikano Bank and the Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge, so book your place on the start line today! You’ll be the proud owner of 2021’s anniversary commemorative race medal and if you’re a club runner, there’s that inaugural Champion spot for the taking.
