Magical lights at Wollaton Hall

If you didn’t know, Wollaton Hall has been transformed this year with an amazing Light Trail Spectacle, so Carly and her family went along and they certainly wasn’t disappointed!

Wollaton Hall has been transformed into an enchanting light spectacle and WOW it’s amazing! We followed a trail discovering four magical themes, which have been designed to fit into the landscape of the Hall and Gardens. We were totally captivated by the lights, music and atmosphere.

We began our trail through fairy lights of stars and animals through the festive forest – the colours against the trees were incredible.

The trail continues through a modern white light tunnel which was the perfect spot for a family photo which lead us to the moon and stars where I personally felt I was in a magical dream.

We then walked into the Cameilia House which was glowing in amber lights and made you fell all warm and cosy.

Through the fire torchlight gardens brings you to the rear of the Hall and to a breath-taking light performance finale.

If we weren’t feeling all festive at the beginning – we certainly were by the end of the trail. Despite the slight drizzle, it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits! The background music throughout the trail made you feel you was in a magical world or in a film, where you could just enjoy the lights and forget about any worries from this year!

Everyone may have had to wear masks throughout, but you could tell that they all had a smile on their faces.

We highly recommend to try and attend this if you can! Light up Christmas at Wollaton Hall have extended their dates until the 10th January 2021 due to high demand – so get booking asap! It’s so worth the experience and hopefully this will return next year – as we will 100% be going back!
