Once upon a time, far, far away, in a little shtetl called Melbourne, there was a little Yiddishe Ghetto Cabaret – a little Yiddishe Ghetto Cabaret with a big heart. The members of the little Yiddishe Ghetto Cabaret worked very hard, day after day, week after week, getting up zeyer early and staying up zeyer late, until the little Yiddishe Ghetto Cabaret grew groys un shtark. One day, all of the shtetl’s residents came to see the little Yiddishe Ghetto Cabaret. Oh! how they laughed and they cried and they clapped and they cheered. The shtetl’s residents showered the little Yiddishe Ghetto Cabaret with their love, and the little Yiddishe Ghetto Cabaret felt so very special. And so, the Ghetto Cabaret Orchestra was born.
Paying tribute to the heart of pre-war European Jewry, the Ghetto Cabaret Orchestra plays Yiddish tango – and plays it mit neshome un mit gefil.
