The Friendship Bridge: Art exhibition featuring work from Nottingham Hospitals patients

In 2024 Paul Lillie was appointed as the first artist in residence for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, working at QMC and City Hospital.

This resulted in an ambitious project called the Friendship Bridge, a multimedia artwork created by over 100 people. It celebrates actor Vicky McClure’s work to promote the benefits of singing within the field of dementia care.

The exhibition also features Paul’s own landscape paintings as well as recent work produced by outpatients from Hayward House, the palliative care unit at City Hospital.

Fri: 9am-5pm

Sat: 9am-4pm

Sun: 11am-3pm
