DIG Deep Charity Event

6 September @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
£10.00

my names Kayleigh Mansfield, I am 35 years, living in Nottingham, and I have been given the honour to represent my country the United Kingdom, at a world final that is taking place next year in the US. The location is yet to be confirmed. This year it is being taken place in Orlando, Florida.

I currently work for an accountancy practice in Beeston as a Semi Senior Accountant which is my dream job role. Despite living with Lupus, I have never let it define me. The doctors who take care of me are based at Nottingham Treatment Centre and cannot praise them enough. They take great care of me and listen which is so important.

In pageantry, your crown is a symbolisation of what you represent. My platform as the Lupus Queen, aims to promote the awareness of Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease through my title as Ms United Kingdom Universal Global.

Lupus is a deliberating illness, and if not treated, it can become threatening. There are many different forms of Lupus, so it is important to understand that no 2 people are the same. It is observed on a case-by-case basis.

As for someone who handles this illness every day, my aim is to share my experiences and the struggles I come face to face with. I will also be raising money for Lupus for the year ahead. They are the only national charity in the UK that support and spread the awareness of this misunderstood condition.

I have organised a charity event at Rough Trade on Saturday 6th September called DIG Deep. It will be a night of metalcore supporting local musicians and businesses. We have live acts from Cross Light, Frame The Hero, and Those Once Loyal. Tickets are just £10 and can be purchased through the link below. I have also added the event page. All proceeds for the event will be split between Lupus UK and Heart Link Children’s Charity. I have organised this with my sister queen, Mrs United Kingdom Universal Global. Heart Link is a hospital that saved my friends life.

At the event we have organised a fun photobooth by Aaron Squibb Photography. There will be a sponsored raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. We are currently taking donations. All raffle prizes will be promoted 1 month prior to the event and on sale for just £1 a ticket. Prizes can be sent for those who do not want to attend but donate.

We would be so grateful if you could help us promote this event. Everyone is so excited.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you
